The College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University has achieved a distinguished scientific accomplishment, as the research titled: "Accuracy of Ultrasound in the Diagnosis of Acute Appendicitis in a Sample of Patients Attending the Emergency Department" won the award for Best Research Presentation at the 11th International Conference on Public Health, held in Thailand in August 2025. The research was presented by Lecturer Dr. Haneen Hussein Sahib, Radiology and Ultrasound Specialist and Head of the Cultural Relations Division at the college, who stood out for her scientific and research efforts, as well as her dedication in supervising and meeting the needs of the participating delegation throughout the conference, with the direct support and guidance of the college’s deanery. This achievement adds to the college’s growing record of contributions to scientific research and its efforts to meet the requirements of global rankings and international accreditation, thereby enhancing its academic standing regionally and globally.
