
In a step aimed at strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and healthcare centers, the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University hosted an extended meeting under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Anis Khalil Nail. The meeting brought together Dr. Muqdad Ismail Al-Khafaji, Director of Al-Imamain Al-Kadhimain Medical City, the Associate Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Dr. Ammar Al-Mousawi, along with a number of faculty members. The discussions addressed the major challenges and obstacles facing joint coordination between the Medical City and the College of Medicine, particularly in the scientific, training, and service aspects. The meeting also explored mechanisms to activate cooperation in ways that positively reflect on the students’ academic and practical levels, as well as on the quality of healthcare services provided in the Medical City. During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of continuous and direct communication with healthcare institutions and the need to find practical and sustainable solutions to challenges that may hinder workflow or affect the quality of medical education and training. For his part, Dr. Muqdad Al-Khafaji expressed the Medical City’s openness to cooperation and support for the College in various fields, stressing the importance of role integration to achieve shared goals. It is worth noting that this meeting comes as part of a series of regular gatherings through which the College seeks to strengthen practical partnerships with healthcare institutions, contributing to the development of students’ skills and supporting the country’s healthcare system.
