Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nael, the Medical Education and Curriculum Development Unit organized a training course entitled: “Essential of Medical Teaching and Learning Methods .” This course was held as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to develop its teaching staff and to contribute to achieving the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4) related to quality education. The course witnessed the participation of a number of faculty members from different scientific departments. On the first day, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bassam Mohammed Hameed, Head of the Medical Education Unit, delivered a lecture on teaching and learning theories. On the second day, Prof. Dr. Thaer Mahmood Al-Jumaili presented a lecture on interactive teaching and the role of students in the educational process, emphasizing the importance of engaging students as a central component in the learning environment. This course comes as part of a series of training programs aimed at strengthening faculty members’ skills, thereby contributing to the advancement of the quality of medical education at the college.
