The White Coat Ceremony at Al-Nahrain University College of Medicine
Under the patronage and attendance of the Dean of Al-Nahrain University College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college held the White Coat Ceremony on December 24, 2024, in the college's main hall.
The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by student Baqir Naji, followed by a speech from the Dean. In his speech, he warmly welcomed the students to Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, emphasizing the importance of diligence and academic excellence. He highlighted the medical profession as a sacred and humanitarian one, unlike any other, due to the great responsibility doctors bear in caring for the lives of patients. This was followed by a speech from the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Mousa, who stressed the importance of adhering to university regulations and respecting the academic environment.
Faculty members, Professor Dr. Asmaa Baqir and Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Abdul Ali, also contributed with a guidance presentation for the students, covering the key aspects of their academic journey. Additionally, several sixth-year students (Mustafa Ahmed, Zainab Ahmed, and Zeina Ahmed) shared advice and experiences from their time at the college to help the students achieve academic success and reach the highest scientific levels.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo of the students wearing their medical coats, and name badges featuring the college logo were distributed to the students.
