Legal Division

Objectives of the legal division:

1.   The legal division seeks to achieve justice among the college staff  in accordance with the laws, regulations and instructions.
2. The legal division is responsible for providing legal protection for the college and defend it in the courts and judicial authorities.  

Duties and functions of the legal divisiont:

1. Providing legal consultations to the faculty departments.
2. Statement of legal opinion in books related to legal affairs and other subjects.
3. Participation in the student discipline committee which formed in the college under the instructions of discipline of students in institutions of higher education and scientific research No. 160 in 2007 in addition to participating in the committees of discipline of state staff.
4.  Participate in the investigative committees which formed in the college.
5. Participate in the investigative committees which formed by the Presidency of the University / Legal Affairs Department through the preparation of Special reports and present them to the Presidency of the University and the Ministry for the purpose of ratification.
6. Approving the contracts concluded by the college.
7. Approving guarantees and academic commitments inside and outside Iraq.
8. Approve loans for teachers and advances for staffs.
9. The legal representative of the college reviews the police stations and the competent courts in the cases which instituted by the collage against others and vice versa.
