27 December 2024

Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nael, and in alignment with ministerial instructions encouraging students to adhere to modesty and decorum, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, in collaboration with the Women's Affairs Unit, organized a guidance lecture titled "Modesty is Innate." The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Sahar Hassan Mushtat on December 24, 2024, in celebration of the birth of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The lecture highlighted how Lady al-Zahra (peace be upon her) is a great example of modesty and dignity, and her life and teachings serve as a remarkable model for women on how to live with chastity and respect. The lecturer also emphasized the importance of modest clothing in the university and its significant role in fostering a positive and respectful learning environment. It promotes self-respect, personal dignity, a focus on learning, personal protection, respect for cultural and religious values, a sense of belonging, and the creation of a fair and equal university environment for all.

In conclusion, the lecture called for drawing lessons from great figures like Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), who teaches us that modesty and decency do not restrict women, but rather give them strength and confidence, enabling them to make a positive impact on society.
