(The Victory Day Festival and the Speicher Massacre) at the College of Medicine - Al-Nahrain University

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, the Student Activities Division of the college organized the "Victory Day and the Speicher Massacre" festival on the college campus on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Several professors and students from various colleges and institutes of the university participated in the festival, including the Colleges of Pharmacy, Engineering, Business Economics, Political Science, the Institute of Infertility, and the University Presidency’s Department of Student Activities.

The Dean of the College commended the role of the Student Activities Division in organizing such festivals that embody and immortalize the heroic role of our security forces, in all its branches, in defending Iraq and its sanctities. He also encouraged the organization of other scientific, cultural, and artistic activities to foster a collaborative and academic atmosphere among the students.

The festival was inaugurated by the Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Mousawi, the Administrative Assistant, Professor Dr. Ali Fouad, along with several faculty members. They praised the various works displayed at the festival, including a large number of artistic paintings and calligraphy that depicted Victory Day and the Speicher Massacre, as well as handmade crafts and patriotic poetry in honor of the Speicher Massacre martyrs.

The Scientific Assistant extended his thanks to all professors, students, and the head of the Student Activities Division, Professor Dr. Salman Ali Hassan, for organizing the festival and for promoting cultural, artistic, scientific, and sports activities that benefit the students of the college.
