The Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, participated in the International Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Conference held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He represented Iraq as the Head of the ATLS Chapter in Iraq, affiliated with the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

During the conference, the Dean delivered a lecture titled "Incorporation of ATLS Program in Undergraduate Medical Colleges Curriculum," where he emphasized the importance of exposing medical students to clinical trauma cases early in their studies. He noted that this exposure enhances their future abilities to manage such cases and achieve optimal outcomes.

The two-day event, held on the 11th and 12th of December, included various discussions and academic dialogues related to medical education and scientific research with specialists from multiple countries worldwide. It is worth mentioning that the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University serves as the main center for the ATLS course in Iraq.
