A voluntary student activity (Towards Better Health, Education, and a Sustainable Society).

31 March 2024

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nayel, and in support of the goals of sustainable development (towards better health, education, and a sustainable society), the Pharmacology Department, in collaboration with third and fourth-year students, organized a voluntary student activity aimed at raising awareness against the misuse of antibiotics. This misuse can lead to the emergence and development of antimicrobial resistance, resulting in treatment failures, increased spread of epidemics, and diseases. The activity included the distribution of various informative brochures and leaflets, as well as the organization of scientific seminars. Additionally, a giant tree was installed in the college, featuring the names and boxes of the most commonly used antibiotics.
