The Department of Internal Medicine conducts the study of Diabetes and Endocrinology in the Iraqi Council for Medical Specialties.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil, and in celebration of World Diabetes Day, the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine of Al-Nahrain University, in cooperation with the Scientific Committee overseeing the study of Diabetes and Endocrinology in the Iraqi Council for Medical Specialties, and in coordination with the Student Activities Department, will hold an awareness event on diabetes, its prevention, and treatment methods. The event will include a marathon in the gardens of Al-Nahrain University.
