The Japanese Medical Attache visits Al-Nahrain College of Medicine.....Media Unit

The Japanese Medical Attache visited The College of Medicine/ Al-Nahrain University. He discussed some issues related to:

  • hospitals and the Japanese health system.

  • perform clinical tours in the wards and attend morning meetings.

  • review of qualitative operations in the field of neurosurgery, therapeutic neuro-catheterization, and radiology of gamma rays.

  • deliver seminars about lectures on some rare cases of Iraqi professors

  • Dr. Saiki displayed the possibility of reactivating cooperation frameworks and we showed him our desire to open the horizons of cooperation in various medical fields. He presented the following projects:

  • Admission of graduate doctors to get six-year- Ph.D. degree including studying of the Japanese language. The required age is not more than 35.

  • Organizing a long-term clinical teaching 3 years -course within different disciplines.

  • Short training courses of not more than 2-3 weeks for professors and specialists in different fields that are suggested by us, and it is possible to obtain quick approvals in case the trainee bears the costs of travel and accommodation.

He also stated that the start of these programs should be in the next year to get an opportunity to organize courses and activities in question and to be in touch with him to choose the specialties and nominate suitable ones.

Dr. Saiki visited the teaching hospital, including the Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT), Intensive Cardio-Pulmonary Care Unit and Cardiac Catheterization Unit, the Emergency Ward, the General Surgery Department, in addition to the Intensive Care Center.
