Training Course on Morphometric Analysis of Histological Sections

The Department of Human Anatomy at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University organized a training course titled:

“Quantitative Morphometry for Histological Analysis.”
(القياس المورفومتري الكمي للتحليل النسيجي)

The course focused on the use of the ImageJ software in morphometric analysis of histological sections as an important scientific tool for accurately measuring the morphological and quantitative characteristics of cells and tissues—such as area, diameter, and density. The course aimed to develop researchers’ skills in transforming microscopic observations into digital data suitable for statistical analysis, thereby enhancing the precision of results in biological and pathological studies. It also included practical applications using the ImageJ and Aprio programs.

This course comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and to develop the capabilities of teaching and research staff in utilizing modern techniques for histological analysis.
