Active Participation of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine in the Annual Conference of the Public Health Directorate

Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, the Annual Conference of the Public Health Directorate was held under the theme:

“Health is Everyone’s Responsibility – Partnership and Commitment.”

The conference, held from October 29 to 30, witnessed distinguished participation from the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University.

The Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mithaq Hassan, attended the conference, while Asst. Prof. Dr. Lama Kareem Mohammed took part in chairing a scientific session titled:

“Antimicrobial Resistance: Actions and Updates.”

Postgraduate students in Community Medicine and trainees from the Iraqi Board of Medical Specializations in Family Medicine at the Al-Nahrain Training Center also participated in the conference’s activities, which included fruitful discussions with professors and public health specialists from various academic and health institutions inside and outside Iraq. This participation reflects the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University’s commitment to supporting national efforts to promote public health concepts and reinforce the principles of partnership in building an integrated and sustainable health system.
