Orientation Meeting for First-Year Students at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Anees Khalil Nail, the University Psychological Counseling Unit organized an orientation meeting for first-year students in the main hall of the college on November 27, 2025. The meeting included a presentation delivered by top-performing second-year students, introducing the academic subjects, the grading system, and the method of calculating the GPA. The event also featured guidance stressing the importance of adhering to regulations and instructions within the campus, maintaining regular attendance, and making effective use of time to enhance academic performance. In addition, a set of practical tips was provided on effective study skills and ways to overcome challenges that new students may face. At the end of the meeting, the students’ questions and inquiries were answered in an interactive atmosphere that reflected the college’s commitment to supporting their academic journey.
