  Al-Nahrain College of Medicine honors the top graduates (Coexistence and Love Class)

Starting up from the new Iraqi State's concern with the importance of education and teaching institutions and constant seekingg to raise the scientific level and to encourage the top students to get further progress to service this great country, the Deanery of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine celebrated on the occasion of graduating students by honouring the top students at the main hall at the college for the academic year 2012- 2013 (Coexistence and Love Cycle) on Monday, 28/10/2013.  

The ceremony was opened with reading of Holy Divine verses of Quran, then the Dean of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein delivered aspeech saying that (we all professors, and students, standout of respect strongly and support the top students of various  scientific branches which they have studied during years, and to make this college in the forefront of upgrading and development for colleges of Al-Nahrain University in particular and Iraqi Universities in general.)

The Dean also said that (asbeing the Dean of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine and the Head of Iraqi Colleges of Medicine Deans Committee, we claimed Al-Nahrain University Presidency and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to activate the employment of top ten graduates, or those who are from the first quarter of a class students total number in the colleges of medicine to provide the Scientific Branches with  new blood generation, and to produce new qualified teaching staff to  receive the teaching tasks in this college and the rest of the colleges of medicine in the future.)

The Dean of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine also praised highly, in his speech, the escalating pace of work at the branches of the college and the deanery offices to keep updating of studying curricula, and consistency with the process of updating medical education which takes place in the Iraqi collegesof medicine.

The first top student of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, Ahmed Kathim Mohammed, also delivered his speech saying that (I amvery grateful to all hands that opened the door of hope in science and brought me to earn trust of those who gave me success and superiority), adding (not enough to express thanks to my virtuous professors and words are not enough to formulate my feelings, but I stand before you promising to be as you wish scientifically and to be loyal tomy country and humanity service.)

The representative of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr.Haider Rahim transported the concern and pleasure of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Jasim Muhammad Ja'afar, for top graduate students who exerted distinctive efforts, then he presented gifts to top students which was a laptop for the first three top students.

The Dean did not neglect the role of retired professors of this year in providing efforts and advice to their students toserve the scientific exemplary of the college, and to raise its name aloft since entering until their retirement. He honored professors respectively:

The ceremony included the distribution of gifts to top students of scientific and clinical branches by Vice President of the Scientific Affairsat Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Mazen Emmanuel,the Dean of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, Professor Dr, Alaa Ghani Hussein, the Assistant Dean of scientific affairs, Assis. Professor Dr. Farqad Bader Hamdan, the Assistant Dean of administrative affairs, Assis. Professor Dr.Sabah Ghani Qadouri and theHeads of Branches in the college.

The honoured students are as follows:                                                                                                                                                                    Yasser Haider Flei'ih won the second place in total and the first place in general surgery and pediatrics                                                               Mustafa Jawad Askar won the first place in anatomy, biochemistry,histology, pathology and gynecology and obstetrics                 AhmadFathil Fathi AbdulAmeer won the first place in microbiology                                                                                                                   SaifAldeen Muhammad Khamees won the first place in pharmacology

At the end of the ceremony, the Dean of the college presented the shield of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine to the Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Mazen Emmanuel, to the representative of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr.Haider Rahim, and to the General Director of Imamain Kathimain Medical City,Dr. Nawras AbdulRazzaq AbdulShaheed. Also, Al-Mansour School presented a songabout beloved Iraq which made the audience (professors and students) feel delightful. Then, the Great Iraqi flag, (flag of honor andscience), was handed by graduates to the sixth stage students to continue the journey ofscience and humanity.
