Acceptance of a Doctoral Dissertation on Postpartum Depression and Quality of Healthcare in Al-Anbar
The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University discussed the doctoral dissertation of (Assist. Prof. Dr. Ruya Abdulhadi Mohammed Saeed), entitled:
“Postpartum Depressive Symptoms and Its Association with Prenatal Care in a Sample of Women / Al-Anbar Governorate / 2025.”
The study aimed to determine the prevalence of postpartum depressive symptoms among women in Al-Anbar Governorate and to analyze the demographic characteristics associated with them. It also addressed the evaluation of the level of health services provided by primary healthcare centers during pregnancy and whether deficiencies in these services increase the likelihood of postpartum depressive symptoms among mothers.
Furthermore, the study presented a detailed overview of the services provided by antenatal care units in all healthcare centers included in the research scope across Al-Anbar Governorate.
