Participation of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students in the Pharmacovigilance Week Campaign
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Anees Khalil Nail, and as part of MedSafetyWeek activities, undergraduate and postgraduate students at the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University participated in awareness initiatives aimed at promoting the culture of reporting adverse drug reactions and enhancing the safe use of medications. Faculty members from the Department of Pharmacology also educated students through scientific lectures addressing the importance of pharmacovigilance, mechanisms for reporting side effects, and the role of these efforts in improving patient safety.
✨ The students’ activities included:
1-Raising awareness about how to report adverse drug reactions through the Iraqi Pharmacovigilance Center.
2-Educating students on the importance of monitoring medication safety.
3-Distributing educational leaflets related to the 10th global MedSafetyWeek campaign.
4-Encouraging attendees to use the QR code to learn more about the reporting process.
