**Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Holds an Awareness Seminar on the Occasion of World Diabetes Day**

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, the Department of Internal Medicine organized an educational scientific seminar on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, with the participation of several faculty members and students. The seminar aimed to promote health awareness and highlight the importance of prevention and early detection of the disease. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Khudair delivered an extensive lecture on this year’s World Diabetes Day theme, which focuses on the situation of diabetic patients in the workplace. He emphasized the importance of providing a suitable work environment that takes into account the health needs of patients and the role this plays in supporting their psychological and physical stability and improving their performance. The seminar also included the discussion of several scientific topics, including the latest global recommendations for early diabetes screening and its methods, as well as the importance of regular follow-up to reduce complications. Additionally, the most recent available treatment options were reviewed, along with the role of healthcare professionals in raising awareness and enhancing prevention strategies within the community.
