**Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Presents Distinguished Studies at the AACE Regional Endocrinology Conference**

Prof. Mahmoud Shaker Khudair, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University, participated in the Regional Conference of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) recently held in Dubai. During the conference, he presented two scientific posters summarizing two specialized research studies in endocrinology and diabetes. The first study highlighted the classification of type 2 diabetes into groups based on insulin resistance, beta-cell function, and autoimmune-related markers. The second study provided a comprehensive overview of Cushing’s syndrome in Baghdad. This conference is considered one of the most important regional events in the field of endocrinology, with participation from experts from the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The involvement of Al-Nahrain University reflects the significance of its scientific contribution to international medical forums.
