**A Specialized Scientific Workshop on the Diagnosis of Marginal Zone Lymphoma at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University**

As part of the Continuing Medical Education activities at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nayel, a specialized scientific workshop was held and delivered by Lecturer Dr. Rifaa Mohammed Jaafar Mohammed Saeed Al-Khatib, a faculty member in the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine.

The workshop was entitled:

marginal zone lymphoma

The workshop addressed advanced scientific topics focusing on the diagnosis of marginal zone lymphomas and the differentiation between their various subtypes. It also highlighted the application of modern diagnostic techniques to reach a definitive diagnosis, reviewed current therapeutic approaches, and discussed the role of genetic mutations in marginal zone lymphomas. In addition, the workshop covered scientifically approved methods for proper specimen preservation. The workshop targeted Iraqi and Arab Board trainees in Pathology, as well as specialist physicians and academic staff in the fields of Pathology and Surgery, as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to enhance medical knowledge and develop diagnostic skills in accordance with modern scientific standards.
