**An Academic Visit by Expatriate Dr. Essam Khulaif Mutair to the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University**

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University welcomed Dr. Essam Khulaif Muteer, an Iraqi expatriate physician and one of the college’s alumni from the class of 2000, and currently a lecturer at Monash University in Australia. The visit took place in the office of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Anees Khalil Nail, in the presence of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Students, along with a number of faculty members. The meeting focused on discussing avenues for scientific collaboration, exchange of expertise, and strengthening the connection between alumni and their home institution. A number of scientific and academic topics were also addressed, all aimed at enhancing the scientific and research standards of students and the institution as a whole. At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the College of Medicine honored Dr. Essam with the College Shield in recognition of his distinguished academic career and scientific contributions. Following the meeting, Dr. Essam delivered a scientific lecture to faculty members in the college’s main hall titled:
