Faculty of Medicine Organises Solidarity March with the Security Forces and Voluntary Civilian Fighters

The Faculty of Medicine organised a solidarity march for the Security Forces and the Voluntary Civil Fighters in their conflict against ISIS/ISIL (Daaesh) in the presence of President of Al-Nahrain University Professor Nabil Kadhim Abdul-Sahib, as well as the Dean of our Faculty Professor Alaa Ghani Hussain. Furthermore, the Deans of the Faculties in the northern campus of Al-Nahrain University attended, including Law, Pharmacy and the Institute of Infertitlity and Embryology. Students and professors from all campuses gathered united in solidarity, expressing their support for the Fighters in response to the request from the President of the University.
The President addressed the attendees saying that the University continuously supports the Security Forces and the heroes from the Voluntary Civilian Forces, and this is not the first time they undertake such a march. He explained that this stance of solidarity and show of support for the fighters was to enhance the patriotic spirit amongst the professors, students and employees at the university. Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine declared that this stance of unity with the fighters in the battlefield was a show of encouragement and support in the face of ISIS/ISIL.
This march included speeches and fiery poetry recitations overflowing with patriotic passion and unity between the spectra of Iraqi people, and celebrating the great efforts and sacrifices offered by the fighters to liberate Iraqi regions and governarates.
In a statement submitted by one of the contributing students - We as university students worked hard to make this march successful, presenting it as a small gift to the Security Forces and Voluntary Civilian Fighters in the battlefield who are giving their all for us and our beloved Iraq. He insisted upon the importance of unity on a national scale in supporting the fighters to expel ISIS/ISIL from Iraq.
