Scientific Meeting Between Al-Nahrain University’s College of Medicine and the Saudi Academy of Sciences to Discuss Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Medical Education

As part of Al-Nahrain University’s College of Medicine’s efforts to enhance academic collaboration and openness to regional and international scientific experiences, the college organized a joint scientific meeting via Zoom that addressed the latest developments in medical education. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Anees Khalil Nael, along with his scientific and administrative assistants and the heads of the scientific departments, members of the College Council. A virtual meeting was held with Prof. Dr. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Turki, Executive Director of the Academy of Sciences for Medical Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting included a scientific lecture on the topic of integrating artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies into medical curriculum courses. During the lecture, Dr. Al-Turki highlighted the importance of employing these modern technologies to advance medical education, as they provide broad opportunities for skill acquisition and help enhance students’ ability to keep pace with rapid developments in clinical training methods. The participants emphasized that such initiatives represent a qualitative leap toward strengthening the educational process and modernizing teaching methods in line with global trends in contemporary medical education.
