The Department of Human Anatomy Holds Its Second Quarterly Meeting in Preparation for Final Examinations

16 April 2025

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the Council of the Department of Human Anatomy at the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University held its second quarterly meeting, chaired by Professor Dr. Mai Fadhil Majid and attended by the esteemed faculty members of the department.

The meeting addressed several important topics concerning the continuity and sustainability of academic work, and the support of the educational process to complete curriculum requirements and begin preparations for the final theoretical and practical examinations for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Emphasis was placed on ensuring the availability of all necessary resources to guarantee the success of this critical phase.

Course coordinators for the second-year subjects (Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology) were instructed to finalize and announce the semester evaluations early, before the start of final exams, to give students ample time to review their performance. It is worth noting that the final examination in Anatomy will be conducted jointly between the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University and Al-Kafeel College of Medicine in Karbala Governorate, as part of the twinning agreement between the two institutions. The meeting also discussed preparations for the midterm examinations for first-year students, focusing on the provision of examination halls and the necessary technical resources to ensure excellent performance by the students. A detailed work plan and timetable were developed to efficiently organize the examination process, especially given the large number of students.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Dr. Mai Fadhil Majid expressed her sincere appreciation and gratitude to the faculty members for their outstanding efforts in fulfilling their academic duties at the highest level. She emphasized the importance of maintaining this dedication through the completion of the examinations and the announcement of final results.
