**Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Participates in an Awareness Activity on Early Diabetes Screening**

Professor Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Khudair, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, participated in a health awareness and education activity focusing on the importance of early screening for diabetes mellitus, methods of prevention, and ways to diagnose its complications at early stages, contributing to limiting disease progression and improving patients’ quality of life. The activity was held outdoors on Al-Mutanabbi Street and witnessed wide public interaction. Medical guidance and simplified scientific information were provided to citizens regarding risk factors, preventive measures, and the importance of regular follow-up. This activity was organized under the patronage of the Iraqi Society for Diabetes and Endocrinology, as part of its ongoing efforts to spread health awareness and promote medical culture within the community.
