11 April 2025

As part of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University's ongoing efforts to improve the campus environment and promote sustainability principles, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, conducted a field tour in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division and the Institutional Accreditation Committee. The tour included the corridors, gardens, and walkways of the college to inspect the ongoing painting and renovation works being carried out as part of the infrastructure improvement plans.

During the tour, the Dean met with several students to assess how well these efforts meet their needs in terms of providing suitable seating areas, a comfortable learning atmosphere, and a renewed, environmentally friendly campus. His Excellency emphasized the importance of maintaining general cleanliness across the walkways and corridors, and called for the organization of volunteer initiatives, in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Committee. These initiatives include cleaning and tree-planting campaigns aimed at improving the environmental reality within the college and enhancing students' sense of belonging and participation. These initiatives align with the college’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to quality education, sustainable buildings, climate preservation, and expanding community partnerships. They also reflect the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University’s dedication to the continuous development of its academic and service facilities, in accordance with international accreditation standards and global rankings.
