Faculty of Medicine - University of Alnahrain organizes a workshop on first aid in collaboration with the Iraqi Red Crescent assembly

Due to the exceptional security circumstances and in support of our armed forces in the relief of injuries that occur as a result of military operations and frequent explosions experienced by the Iraqi people, the Faculty of Medicine - University of Al-Nahrain and sponsored by Mr. Dean Prof. Dr. (Alaa GhaniHusseinMubarak ) and in cooperation with the Iraqi Red Crescent assembly held a workshop in first aid for the period of 8 - 11/09/2014 with the participation of 41 trainees from the college employees. The trainer ,commissioned bythe Iraqi Red Crescent assembly presented the following cases: {burns, fractures, suffocation (shortness of breath), shock, bleeding, loss of consciousness} ,how to deal with these cases ,provide psychosocial support and first aid to the injured ,sorting of the injuries and correct transport method. A number of trainees perform practical operations of the role of paramedics and the injured and enclose explanations about the various stages of rescue.

At the end of the workshop, Mr. Dean gave a speech in which he praised the seriousness of the participants ,the valuable information the workshop provided by the trainer and the spirit of cooperation that prevailed, thanking all those involved in the Iraqi Red Crescent Assembly
