**Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Delegation Actively Participates in the First Day of the International Conference on Public Health in Thailand**

When bilateral meetings evolve into multilateral engagements and distinguished scientific partnerships, a new chapter unfolds in strengthening Iraq’s academic standing on the international stage and expanding the horizons of scientific and research cooperation. The College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University participated as a key academic partner in the launch of the first day of the 11th International Conference on Public Health (ICOPH 2025) held in Thailand. The opening day witnessed a series of productive meetings that brought together academic representatives from Iraq, Zambia, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia at one table to discuss mechanisms of joint academic cooperation, exchange of scientific expertise, and expansion of joint research and training opportunities. The delegation of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine played an active role in the conference sessions and discussions, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mithaq Hassan, Head of the Department of Community Medicine. The delegation also included:

  • Prof. Dr. Hala Abdul Qader, from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Nebras Alaa Hussein, Rapporteur of the Department of Family and Community Medicine (participating online)

  • Lect. Dr. Sabrin Saad, from the Department of Pharmacology

The event also featured remarkable student participation from:

  • Ali Mohammed Abd

  • Buraq Iyad

  • Somaya Bashar

  • Abdulilah Riyadh (participating virtually)
