Dean of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University Inspects the Student Club and Calls for Enhancing Hygiene Standards and the Quality of Food Services
The Dean of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, visited the Student Club at the college, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division and the Institutional Accreditation Committee, to assess the quality of services provided there. During the visit, His Excellency met with several staff members working at the club, as well as a group of students, to listen to their opinions regarding service quality — including seating areas, ventilation, and the quality of food provided. The Dean emphasized the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, requiring staff to wear masks and gloves, and ensuring food is stored properly and hygienically. He also stressed the importance of avoiding food waste by launching volunteer initiatives to donate safe, unused food and to provide the best possible service to students, staff, and visitors from outside the college.
This initiative is part of the college’s broader efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in areas related to food preservation, combating hunger, and fostering community partnerships. These efforts reflect the commitment of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University to actively contributing to society and highlight its excellence in meeting international accreditation standards and global rankings.
