An Educational Seminar on Elections at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine

As part of the efforts of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University to support community awareness and promote electoral culture among students and academic staff, the Media and Government Communication Division, in cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission, organized an educational seminar under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Anis Khalil Nael.

During the seminar, the Commission’s representative, Mr. Karrar Jalal Kareem, discussed several important topics related to the upcoming parliamentary elections. He reviewed the procedures of the general and special voting, the mechanism for distributing voter biometric cards, the process of counting, sorting, and transmitting data through the network on election day. He also provided a detailed explanation of the regulations governing the monitoring of the electoral process by agents of political entities, as well as by civil society and international organizations, emphasizing the high level of transparency ensured by the Commission for the media and all stakeholders in the electoral process.
