An Address by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, to All Members of Our Loyal and Dedicated Staff

Dear Esteemed Staff Members of the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University,

Warm greetings…

At a time when we highly appreciate and value the great efforts exerted by all our dedicated staff, and their continuous work to advance the College and the University, and to ensure that our graduates are competent cadres who serve the country and represent a distinguished model reflecting the outstanding academic level provided by the College, we affirm, together with the respected Presidency of our University and the Deanship of our College, our keenness to follow up on the affairs of our staff members and to emphasize their rights guaranteed by law. We would like to clarify that the University Service Allowance is a fixed legal entitlement for employees of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in all their job titles, pursuant to the University Service Law No. (23) of 2008, and it may not be compromised in any manner whatsoever. In this context, the Deanship of the College affirms its full support for its staff and its backing of all measures that contribute to preserving these rights, which represent the fruit of continuous scientific and professional efforts. We also emphasize that we have followed and continue to follow up on the developments of this matter in a way that achieves the principle of justice and preserves the rightful gains of all our staff, within the legal and institutional frameworks.
