The Physiology Department at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Holds a Training Course on Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Disease Diagnosis
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nael, the Department of Physiology, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training course titled: "Training on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Disease Diagnosis", held from April 6 to April 10, 2025, at the Department of Physiology hall.
The course aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of using artificial intelligence (AI) in disease diagnosis, highlighting the role of machine learning, deep learning, and big data analysis in supporting medical professionals to make accurate and rapid diagnostic decisions.
The course program included a series of specialized scientific lectures. It commenced with a lecture by Dr. Jumana Mahdi titled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Electroencephalography." On the second day, Dr. Mai Fadhel Estifan delivered her lecture titled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping the Future of Medical Physics."On the third day, Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah gave a lecture titled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Physiology." The fourth day featured a lecture by Dr. Jinan Hussein on "Artificial Intelligence in Nanoscience."The course concluded on the fifth day with two lectures: the first by Dr. Roweida Abdul Ameer titled "Artificial Intelligence in Medical Diagnosis: Enhancing Therapeutic Outcomes with Low-Level Laser Therapy," and the second by Dr. Siham Sabah titled "Artificial Intelligence in Radiotherapy."The course witnessed remarkable engagement from the participants, and the organizers emphasized the importance of keeping pace with modern technological advancements to support diagnostic and medical practices.
