The Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, organizes a field visit to Al-Ain Foundation for Social Care as part of the summer training program.
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nael, the Department of Surgery organized an extracurricular activity for third-year students as part of the summer training program. The activity involved a field visit to Al-Ain Foundation for Social Care, in collaboration with the Department of Microbiology, with the participation of several faculty members and undergraduate students. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the services provided by the foundation and its operational mechanisms, particularly in the medical field. The visit was coordinated and supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Razzaq, the activity coordinator; Professor Dr. Bashar Abbas, Head of the Surgery Department; Professor Dr. Ahmed Zabar; and Dr. Abeer Mohammed. During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the foundation’s key services and support programs for its beneficiaries. Discussions were also held on the potential for enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise between the college and the foundation across various areas. This visit reflects the Department of Surgery’s commitment to organizing extracurricular activities that contribute to raising students’ societal awareness and broadening their understanding of the humanitarian and medical roles played by social institutions.
