Master’s Thesis Discussion on the Evaluation of Biomarkers and Their Relation to Fertility in Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Assessment of Serum Corin, Prokineticin-1 and Kallistatin Levels in Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Relation to Fertility.”

The study results showed significantly elevated levels of Corin and Prokineticin-1 in PCOS patients (p < 0.001), while no differences were found in Kallistatin levels among the groups. ROC analysis revealed that Prokineticin-1 had the highest diagnostic accuracy (AUC = 0.721). Moreover, a statistically significant inverse relationship between Corin and Prokineticin-1 levels was observed in infertile PCOS patients, which may play an important role in explaining infertility in women with PCOS.
