The internal transition rates of pre-equilibrium nuclear reactions in 232 Th

Abstract

In pre-equilibrium nuclear reactions, the transition rates are important quantities used to calculate the master equation and the differential cross section. These transitions have been calculated in case of protons and neutrons incident on a heavy nuclei like 232Th. Different effective squared matrix elements for interactions are used in the calculation of these rates. The estimations are done with including Pauli, paring and the surface corrections. Also a comparison between different methods used in calculating the effective potential well have been done.
