VISION
    
The English language unit seeks to fulfill the students need for developing their English language with all skills.

MISSION

1. To graduate doctors with a wide knowledge in English language.
2. The purpose of English language is to show how language is used as medium for the study of medicine and to give doctors as grounding in one particular set of communication skills in English.

OBJECTIVES

1. To develop the knowledge of students, how English is used for communication in the basic medical sciences.
2. It is intended for students who already know how to handle the common English sentence patterns, but need to learn how these patterns are used in medical writing to convey information and to express medical concepts.
3. The exercises direct the students' attention to certain features of English which are specific to medical writing. The aim is to provide the students with a strategy for reading more difficult medical texts and to prepare them for making effective use of English in their own writing.
