Arwa completed her postgraduate study in Al-Nahrain University, College of Medicine, Microbiology Department, Baghdad, Iraq. She has held faculty positions in Microbiology Department at 2007. She granted six months from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education as visiting Scholar at Molecular Virology Laboratory, Department of Pathology, Microbiology, & Immunology, USC School of Medicine, South Carolina-United State of America. She has extensive practical experience in Tumor Virology and Molecular Virology. Arwa’s main research interests are in oncogenic viruses and tumor biology, in particular HPV and its association with cervical cancer progression and she has several publications about the carcinogenic effect of the "high-risk" HPVs. Also her current projects are focused on HCV genotypes and subtypes and New Drug Screening for HIV.

3- Lab. instructor for undergraduate students of Medical Microbiology (Virology, Immunology, Bacteriology & Parasitology).

7.Attended the training course entitled principles and technical applications of Real time PCR at the Biotechnology Research Center/ Al-Nahrain University for the period from 24 to 31 of March 2011.
8.Attended the training course entitled polymerase chain reaction PCR at the Medical Research Unit College of Medicine University of Al-Nahrain for the period from 23 to 27 of May 2010.
9.Attended the course of New Technologies in Infertility Treatment at the Institute of Embryo Researches and Infertility Treatment at Al-Nahrain University, 2010.
