Glucose Intolerance in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome

In Iraq, many patients are unaware about their diabetes, although there are screening programs at the primary health center. Thus, admission to hospitals for different indications represents a good occasion to screen for abnormal GI. GI significantly influences the onset of ACS, often detected only upon ACS admission, potentially impacting patient outcomes. This study concludes that GI is prevalent among Iraqi patients with ACS who have not been previously diagnosed with diabetes affecting one third of the population.
