Educational Session for Fourth-Year Students in Community Medicine (Practical Component) at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine

Educational Session for Fourth-Year Students in Community Medicine (Practical Component) at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine

19 February 2026

In a distinctive spring atmosphere, an outdoor educational session was held for fourth-year students as part of the Community Medicine course (practical component), which includes conducting field research projects by student groups under the supervision of Dr. Lama Karim. The College gardens hosted this academic gathering, combining learning and direct interaction in a comfortable and motivating environment.

The students met to discuss and review the data they had collected for their joint research project concerning hospital patients. They presented their fieldwork progress and the challenges they encountered during data collection. Dr. Lama Karim provided constructive feedback and scientific guidance on how to address field-related difficulties, as well as on conducting professional patient interviews to ensure the collection of accurate information that serves research objectives.

This session reflected the College’s commitment to adopting interactive teaching methods that enhance students’ field research skills and professional communication, contributing to their preparation to deliver evidence-based healthcare responsive to community needs.
