The Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine was established in 1989 as part of the College of Medicine, University of Nahrain.
Department Tasks
- Teaching undergraduate students in the third stage the subject of pathology.
- Teaching undergraduate students in the fourth stage the subject of forensic medicine.
- Teaching undergraduate students in the fifth stage the subject of surgical pathology.
- Teaching undergraduate students in the fifth stage the subject of medical ethics.
- The department grants a master's degree in: pathology/histopathology, pathology/hematology, pathology/forensic medicine.
- The department grants a doctorate degree in: pathology/histopathology, pathology/hematology.
Postgraduate Studies
The department grants a master's degree in (pathology/histopathology, pathology/hematology, pathology/forensic medicine) and a doctorate degree in (pathology/histopathology, pathology/hematology).
Academic Affiliations
The department is affiliated with both the Iraqi Board and the Arab Board of Pathology, and contributes to training students in the teaching hospital.
