Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Organizes an Awareness Lecture to Mark Iraqi Sovereignty Day

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anees K. Nile, and as part of the activities of the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College, an awareness lecture was held to mark Iraqi Sovereignty Day, entitled:

“Our Sovereignty: Our Identity and Our Future”

The lecture was delivered by the Head of the Unit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Nasser Mohsen.

The lecture addressed the importance of national sovereignty and the sacrifices made by the Iraqi people to achieve this milestone, emphasizing that sovereignty is not protected by weapons alone, but is built through minds, education, and knowledge.

It also highlighted the role of university students in safeguarding the sovereignty of their homeland and strengthening its standing through academic excellence, scientific research, promoting a culture of dialogue and national belonging, upholding the values of social peace, and preserving national identity. In addition, the lecture emphasized the importance of active participation in initiatives and activities that contribute to serving the community and building a better future for Iraq.
