The college's program accreditation committees seek to obtain international accreditation by adopting an educational program that keeps pace with the terms and specifications set by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and continuing the development process through continuous self-evaluation.

In April 2024, the College of Medicine of Nahrain obtained international accreditation by obtaining the accreditation of the Jordanian Commission for Higher Education Institutions and Quality Assurance (AQACHEI) accredited by (WFME).

In 2022, the college obtained conditional accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq (NCAMC) and is working to obtain full accreditation from the same council and through the work of three accreditation committees, which are: Steering Committee headed by the Dean of the College, Main Committee headed by the Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, and Accreditation Subcommittees.
