Honouring the Top Students at Al-Nahrain University Medical School

The faculty of medicine of Al-Nahrain University honoured its outstanding students in their respective fields. The students honoured are listed below.

Haider Jasib Asaad - Outstanding PhD student in the Pharmacology department for his thesis The effect of Cabergoline on metabolism and inflammation in Type II diabetics.

Haidar Falih Shamikh - Outstanding Master's student in the Pharmacology department for his thesis The potential protective effect of Montelukast and Pentoxifylline against hepatic and renal toxicity to doxorubicin in rabbits.

Reem Abdul-Jaleel Khalil - Oustanding Higher Diploma in the Surgery branch, Radiology division in diagnostic radiology.

The dean, Professor Alaa Ghani Hussein, presented the award certificates to the oustanding students, and expressed his appreciation of their efforts in serving the college. He added that the college of medicine will continue directing its efforts and offering its services to the oustanding students. Finally, the students thanked the deanery and members of staff for their continued support, and regarded this recognition of their efforts as an incentive to continue contributing at the higest level.
