Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Nahrain College of Medicine and University of Hamurg... Media Unit

As a part of collaboration between Al-Nahrain  College of Medicine, and other institutions  to develop and consolifate the scientific medical march by supporting it with what is new, useful and fruitful things, the Deanship of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine has held a meeting with Psychiatry and Psychothrapy Department for Adolescents and Children/ Hamburg University Medical Center/ Eppendorf . 

The meeting has been headed by the Dean, Professor Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein, and  the  Assistant Dean for scientific affairs, Professor Dr. Farqad Hamdan Bader, the head of the Pediartics Department, Professor Dr. Shatha Hussein Ali, the rapporteur of Internal Medicine Department, Professor Dr. Hasan Azeez  Hasan, and the head of  Psychological Counseling and Pedagogical Guidance Unit, Professor Dr. Uday Khalid AbdulJabbar.  

The guest side included the national consultant of psycholofical health at Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment, Dr. Imad AbdulRazzak ,  a Pediatrician as  the representative of Hamburg University/Eppendorf, Dr. Najah AbdulRahman, and a Psychatrist of Children and Adolescents in Ibn-Rushd Teaching Hospital, Dr.  Basim Dawood Sadeq.

In this meeting the outlines were put and the mecanism of  activation Memorandum Understanding between two universities was discussed in addition to the mecanism of establishin scientific cooperation with Hamburg University Medical Center for itsimportance in the development shared systems in research and academic fields between the two universities considering that Memorandum Understandingis supported by the DAD German Organization. 

Hamburg University representative has stressed on the necessity of activation of Iraqi medical staff training in the field of Pediatrics, Psychatry, and Psychology  on modern ways of dealing with children and adoloscents psychatric diseases. This center  holds training courses  for the specialized staff and give them participation certificates.  the college of medicine is going forward to open the Pscycatry Consultation Clinic within the consultation center that is intended to be established in our college. 

At the end of the meeting, a draft of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) beyween the two sides.  the head of Psychatry Department was nominated  with coordination with the representative of Hamburg Medical Center.
