Message from the Dean of the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University on the Occasion of the Commencement of the New Academic Year 2026–2027
Dear Students,
As you embark upon your new academic year, I entrust you to the care of Almighty God and urge you to make knowledge your mission, hard work your approach, and sincerity your path to success. You are the hope of this nation; through your minds and hands, nations are built, and through your knowledge, people’s lives are protected and their dignity preserved.
On this occasion, I extend my highest congratulations and best wishes to the faculty members, staff, and all personnel of the College of Medicine on the commencement of the new academic year. I highly appreciate their sincere efforts and continuous dedication in fulfilling their academic, educational, and administrative responsibilities, and I wish everyone an academic year filled with achievement, success, excellence, and giving.
Almighty Allah says:
“And say, ‘Do [as you will], for Allah will see your deeds, and [so will] His Messenger and the believers.’”
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
Be confident that the path to excellence is not without challenges. However, through determination, patience, and diligent work, difficulties can be transformed into successes and aspirations into achievements. Therefore, strive diligently, compete with yourselves before competing with others, and be role models in ethics, knowledge, and humanity.
We are all here to support you and believe in your capabilities. We pray to Almighty Allah to grant you success, bless your steps, and enable you to become competent physicians who carry the noble message of medicine with knowledge, compassion, and sincerity.
May Allah grant you success and guide your steps, and may this academic year be filled with success, excellence, and achievement.
Wishing you all a happy and successful academic year.
Professor Dr. Anees K. Nile
