Dean of the College of Medicine Meets with Top Graduates to Discuss Appointment Mechanism in Accordance with Cabinet Decision

Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nael, Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Mousa Al-Mousawi, Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, and Assistant Lecturer Lamyaa Hadi Mohammed, Head of the Student Affairs Division, met with a number of the college's top graduates to discuss the appointment mechanism within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This meeting was based on Cabinet Resolution No. (184) of 2022 regarding the appointment of top graduates from the medical group colleges (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing).

During the meeting, the Dean explained the adopted mechanism for selecting the graduates eligible for appointment from the top quarter of their class. He also opened the floor for discussion to learn about the graduates’ willingness to be appointed within the college’s staff. Additionally, the required specialties were presented according to the announced clinical and academic needs, in order to ensure the optimal placement of young talents in alignment with the college’s needs and specializations.
