Opening of Renovated Scientific Laboratories and Establishment of Supporting Facilities for Research and Applied Work at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine
Al-Nahrain University President, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, inaugurated a number of scientific laboratories at the College of Medicine / Al-Nahrain University following their rehabilitation and modernization, in support of the educational and research environment.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Anis Khalil Nayel, along with several heads of scientific departments and faculty members. During the visit, the University President reviewed the laboratories and the modern equipment provided, which contribute to strengthening the practical training of students.
This achievement comes ضمن خطة تطوير المختبرات (as part of the laboratory improvement plan), which included the rehabilitation of undergraduate and postgraduate laboratories in accordance with Iraqi standards for good educational laboratories. These laboratories include human anatomy, virtual anatomy, medical chemistry, medical physics, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology labs.
The project also involved the establishment of a centralized chemical storage facility and the creation of a fully integrated animal house unit equipped with all necessary facilities to support research and applied activities.
In the same context, a dedicated, fully equipped hall was established for the discussion of postgraduate theses and dissertations within the Department of Physiology, contributing to a suitable academic environment for scientific discussions.
The University President emphasized the importance of developing infrastructure for medical education, while the Dean of the College expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the University Presidency and its commitment to advancing academic standards.
