Al-Nahrain College of Medicine Organizes the 11th ATLS Course in Collaboration with the American College of Surgeons
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nayel, and as part of the activities of the Department of Surgery, the College of Medicine organized the 11th Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course in collaboration with the American College of Surgeons. The course was held from May 3 to May 5, 2026.The course witnessed the participation of 22 trainees from various Iraqi provinces. The program included intensive training that combined both theoretical and practical aspects, focusing on the latest approved approaches in managing emergency trauma cases. This contributes to enhancing physicians’ skills and raising their professional readiness in dealing with critical situations.
The course also included a field visit by the Dean of the College, during which he reviewed the progress of the training program and examined both its practical and theoretical components. He emphasized the importance of such courses in improving the competence of medical staff and advancing the level of healthcare services.
The course concluded with all participants successfully passing, reflecting the high scientific and organizational standards that Al-Nahrain College of Medicine strives to achieve through its training programs and its continuous efforts to develop medical education and clinical training in accordance with international standards.
