Ambassador of Iraq visits Al-Nahrain College of Medicine...Media Unit

Professor Dr. Hisham Ali Akbar Al-Alawi, the current ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Turkey, has visited Al-Nahrain College of Medicine on Thursday, 10/3/2016 and met the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein. The meeting has been attended by Assistant Dean for administrative afairs, Dr. Hussein Salih, Chair of the Sugery Department, Assistant Professor Yaser Muhammed Hasan Hamandi and the teaching staff representative, Assistant Professor Ihsan Subhi Al-Baldawi. The deliberation has been around the current situation of the country and the challenges it encounters and the role of the Iraqi embassy to show the bright image of Iraq in terms of academic and loyal people. In addition to labelling Al-Nahrain University departments and its formations.They also have discussed the possibility of cooperation to improve the medical  and educational current situation at the colleges of medicine including Al-Nahrain Colleges of Medicine . 

At the end of his visit, the Dean of the college delivered the ambassador a shield of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University Guide, a copy of the Iraqi Journal of Medical Sciences, and a copy of  Tomorrow's Doctors Magazine issued by the college.  

It is worth remnding that Dr. Hisham Al-Alawi was working as consultant physician  in Bermingham in UK with specialty (endocrine glands  and diabetes). He graduated from Baghdad College of Medicine in 1987-1988 among ten top including his class mate Professor Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein, the dean of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine.                                                                                                                                           

At the end of the meeting, they agreed upon to creat future continuous prospects of positive cooperation between them.
