College of Medicine Organizes an Awareness Lecture on the International Day for Preventing Violent Extremism

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Anis Khalil Nayel, and as part of the activities marking the International Day for Preventing Violent Extremism, the University Psychological Counseling Unit organized an awareness lecture for students entitled:
 “Extremism: Its Types, Causes, and Methods of Treatment.”
The lecture was delivered by the Head of the Unit, Assistant Professor Hassan Nasser Mohsen, who addressed the concept of extremism, its main causes, and the factors contributing to its spread. He also highlighted its negative effects on individuals and society, and reviewed the most important scientific and practical approaches to addressing and reducing it.
The lecture also emphasized the vital role of students in promoting moderation and rejecting violence, as they represent the most aware and influential segment within their social environment. This contributes to building a cohesive university community based on dialogue and tolerance.
